Frankly, they sell really good hay and feed. There are two places in town that are sometimes less expensive, and rightly so. H&S Feed is comparable in quality and price sometimes, but JDs is just consistently good feed and a fair price. I have never experience the kind of treatment described here: They are friendly folks and can be trusted...

Don't know who owns this place but the older lady is a jerk. Wonder why she works in a job dealing with the public when she obviously doesn't like people. I will try to find another source for my hay because I really don't want to see her again.

Funny see to complaints about Jd's yet have been doing business with these people ofr over 2 years. Have never had a problem. I usually walk in tell them what I want and go about other interest there. Then when come back to counter if have any extras they write em on the bill I pay and go bacsues while I was shopping they already have loaded my feeds on the truck. Infact was in there just this afternoon saddle shopping found what interested in and told them will see them friday. They put a hold on yjis particular saddle.for me. JD's is actually one of only a few local business's I will do business with and consider doing business with. I retired from the feild of business administration afer 27 years and JD's is one of the better ran business's here in Silver.

I have been treated horribly over the phone by these people. I will tell everyone I know, and I hope their business suffers.

I called looking for info, was told one thing by one person and was trying to verify it with the feed store. JD, the owner was rude, told me I was arguing with someone who had thirty years experience. I tried to explain that my intent was not to "argue" but to just get info, and was simply explaining what someone else had told me. AGAIN, he told me I was arguing, and why did I call him if I was just going to argue, and to call a vet. He did not want to listen and was too worried about getting his ego hurt rather than hearing my explanation. Not only did he loose my business for horse feed, but we buy our snake feed there as well and he has now lost that business. Yes JD, customer service and phone skills count!
