Some folks who work at the co-op are friendly and offer good service. However, some staff are quite inconsiderate.

Even worse, I have twice contacted the store through their website contact form. I have never gotten a response. I won't patronize a store where my questions or concerns are not important enough for a response.

There are other sources of whole organic and local foods in the area that I prefer.

Having a good health store/co-op in such a little town is great! In all fairness, during the "non-growing" seasons, the store dues "import" fruit form CA and elsewhere. And in the summer, there are many selections from NM and AZ. The Saturday Farmer's Market is also packed with seasonal fruits and veggies, and other goods, such as baked items, landscape plants, local jellies, etc. Also, the store will order anything, singly or by the case, so I don't have to drive to LC or such to find supplements, protein powders, etc. The staff is always helpful and kind, even when the place is packed and kids are yelling. (Rare) There is an upbeat mood in this friendly atmosphere. My only complaint is the loud and raucous "music." I am an older person and would like to have my thoughts less bombarded by canned adolescent caterwauling. Some of the lyrics are over the line. Some silence would be golden and maybe there would be more conversation among the real reality folks.
