Disrespectful employees

On March 23, 2010, I was in the female restroom at the KOA in Silver City, New Mexico. The cleaning hours on the door state that cleaning will be done daily from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. At approximately 8:45 am a man wearing KOA attire entered the female restroom without knocking, frightening me. He asked if I was the only one in there. I answered yes and he still proceeded to enter seeing me at the sinks getting ready after my shower. He didn’t excuse himself and leave. He tried to make conversation and had no regard to my privacy. He continued to gather the trash from each stall, and did not apologize, and left the restroom.

At approx. 8:51am I immediately went into the main office to complain. I spoke with a brunette woman about the incident and she replied, “Well it happens, I walked in on a man in the men’s bathroom before.” I was upset about the incident, I could feel tears coming to my eyes, so I turned to leave the office. The man came from the back of the office and as I was exiting, he told her, “I just walked right in…” I did not stay to hear the rest of his explanation. At no time did he or she apologize for my privacy being violated.

From the office I went back to the cabin we were renting, cabin 4. I told my husband what just happened. He immediately spoke to the man briefly as the worker was driving past. He stated his name was Kim or Ken and did apologize, he stated, “I completely forgot.”

We have stayed at various KOA campgrounds in the past and have never been treated this way. I was in shock and frightened and stayed staring at him through the mirror. I couldn’t even say anything, besides answering when asked, “Where are you from?“ I then answered, “Albuquerque.” I will never stay at this KOA again, and no, I do not want future coupons to stay free here for the future...
