The AFI Silver Theater and Cultural Center is a pillar of the cultural renewal of downtown Silver Spring. The restoration work was done brilliantly and I'll always remember when it opened and Former County Executive Doug Duncan was there in person to shake hands with each one of us as we entered the main theater. The documentary film festival is one of the best in the country and AFI Silver has become the location of choice for some of the most important screenings of independent features.

We are fortunate to have this treasure close by. I strongly recommend this location for any movie you want to see.
