Tailoring:

I get a lot of clothes second hand from my sister and from consignment stores so I have a lot of things that need tailoring. On this trip, I got six pairs of jeans tailored with Kemp Mill Dry Cleaners. They overcharged me and not a single pair was done well. Some fit worse than when I brought them in. None of the pants were hemmed to match their other stitching. My mother could have done the same job on her sewing machine at home- and she has no experience in the field, professional or otherwise. The front of every pant leg now sits funny and a few of the pairs are loose in the knees, which oddly enough, they weren't before. They did not tell me what the price would be in advance. I will never return there, unless it is to complain to get my money back. What would have made me happy would have been a lower price and better fitting results with proper hemming. At another place, they cut the original hem off and sew it back at the length you want, thus you have the original hem on your pants and you can't even tell where they restitched it. I thought this was the accepted method. This place did not do this.

Dry cleaning:

They get the job done most of the time, but one time I brought a light blue trench coat and for some reason it is now yellowish. Also, they over charge for dry cleaning as well.

To sum up:

This dry cleaner does not have competitive prices and if you are willing to drive a little farther, you can get the same service or better for 20% less. And never, ever get anything tailored by them unless you want to pay an absurd amount of money to have your clothing ruined for you.
