Founded in 1955, Rodman*s Discount Gourmet is a family owned and operated discount retailer. The Washington Post has called Rodman*s the weirdest little drugstore in Washington. The company has store locations in Washington, D.C.; and Wheaton and Rockville, Md. It offers a variety of products at discounted prices, such as candy and confections; cookies, crackers and biscuits; preserves and honey; herbs and spices; oils and vinegars; pasta, rice and grains; fresh produce and gourmet cheeses; ethnic and international foods; kitchen gadgets and housewares; wines and ales; and cookware and small kitchen appliances. Rodman*s Discount Gourmet employs approximately 50 people and maintains its headquarters in Silver Spring, Md.
