Provided by YPmobileI collect "error" coins, I have a very extensive collection and have been into coins for roughly 20 years. I was looking for a place close to me that was PCGS or NGC certified that would help me submit some coins for grading. I usually go to Tacoma Coin and Stamp by Tacoma mall. I brought two very nice errors in to Christman's, one was a presidential dollar that was missing it's edge lettering, the other was a '72 nickel struck on a penny planchet. I had what I believed to be a couple of great finds. When I brought those in, the guy behind the counter was so sure that the presidential dollar's edges had been "obviously ground off" and was a fake, and the nickel was also not stuck on a penny, but instead was also a fake. I was pretty sure he was wrong, but him being the "professional" he wasn't hearing anything I had to say nor would he even attempt to submit them for verification. He told me there was a 10 coin minimum and these two coins are obvious fakes. Well, long story short, I ended up going to my more reliable source in Tacoma and submitted those two coins to PCGS through them. Roughly two weeks or so later I get a call from Tacoma coin shop that my coins are back. So I pick up my coins and the Presidential dollar comes back graded "MINT ERROR MS-66 MISSING EDGE LETTERING" and the nickel comes back "MINT ERROR STRUCK ON 1c PLANCHET MS-62 RED/BROWN" a couple of great finds indeed. Nickel is worth over $400, and the Presidential Dollar about $75
Good thing I went somewhere else.

Provided by YP.comI first went to this place a few weeks ago after a friend recommended them. I came in the store and everyone was friendly but, the younger guy at the counter offered me $96 for a gold ring that i had. he did this simply by looking at it and not testing it. I almost sold it right then and there. I got up to the point of signing for the sale and he hadnt even asked to verify if it was mine or that i owned. i had second thought cancelled the deal and went to money tree. here's the kicker, they gave me $250 for that same ring. So, i say that christman's are frauds and shady as they seem to not care if a items is possibly stolen. Dont go there and get ripped off, trust me its worth it to hunt around. hope this helps somebody from making a mistake
