My visit to Silver Falls Pawn Shop was to sell gold. This was the first stop. I’d check around here and in Salem then sell for the best price. After entering, however, I soon left SFPS with cash in the pocket. I had found a solid business – and its range of merchandise is amazing.

Two weeks later I returned to the storefront shop to poke about. Minutes later there was a like new, full size computer in my hands, the price $139. The owner’s son navigated me through the unfamiliar OS, then provided his number in case of a problem. This store has hunting gear, electronic gadgets, jewelry, guns, dvds, tools … and its all tidy and clean. Well, the computer’s battery wouldn’t hold a charge; so SFPS was given the news. Within the week the owner cheerfully handed over a brand new battery ($59) at no charge. “We keep our customers happy.” The Silver Falls Pawn Shop – think of it as a shopping mall in a dining room. ~ George Wilmoth

Aaron has been very fair and upright with anything i have purchased from this store. I am very pleased that we have a gun store right here in Silverton, and that the deals you get here will rival the Big store in Eugene. Wish my budget allowed me to purchase more from him!

To Albert R. I have no record of you buying any guns from this store. So may maybe you are mistaken if there has ever been any problems I have always been willing to take care them. So if you have a problem with a gun bring it in and I am always willing to make it right. Thanks Aaron

Do not buy a gun or rifle from this place. Bought two and neither work - both jam all the time. Talked to the owner, Aaron, and both times he blew me off. First told me that it was my ammo, fine, I know that can be a problem. But when I went back to tell him that didn't solve it with either he went out of his way to tell me it was a 'buyer beware' market and that it shouldn't be too expensive to have a gun smith fix them. What?!?! Completely the wrong way to run a business.

From talking with others around town this doesn't seem to be just my luck. Apparently, he is known to sell shoddy guns and rifles and not offer to help the customer in any way.

Wish I had known about the lack of customer support before spending what I did. Thing is, I wasn't even telling for him to pay for anything. I was just asking (politely) for a refund or some help in any form. Said he had a guy who only works on old WW2 era rifles but nothing else. Now I'm left with a $300+ gun smith bill for a rifle and pistol.

Next time, I'll stick with buying from a reputable source, or at least someone with some business sense.

Aaron is a great guy to deal with I have bought a couple different items from him at the lowest prices I've seen in the Willamette valley, and will continue to purchase from him for years to come. Have sent friends there as well and always pleased.

Kudos to a great local business. I came here looking for a good deal and that is exactly what I got. I was impressed with the customer service and the selection of merchandise. I recommend this pawnshop above all others in the area. Good job!

It's a pawn shop; nothing special. However, it doesn't really make me proud to support local businesses. It feels like a seedy pawn shop like you would find outside of military base. Here are a few of my personal run-ins:



My father-in-law bought a rifle from him a few months back (whole process took about 45 minutes), less than 30 minutes later we all saw him down at Mac's place (local pub), my father-in-law said "hello" to Aaron and Aaron acted like he had never seen him before. My father-in-law, being an old man from the country, did not like this at all. Needless to say, dinner was full of how to run a business in a small town advice. My father-in-law shares many of the same political beliefs as Aaron so this was a shock for us all. Still the only place in town my father-in-law complains about. Even passed up talking about Stu!



Being a pawn shop, the price is less negotiable if you do not align with the right political party of the owner. This is not neccessarily a bad thing, especially being a free speech exercise, it is just something to know before you go.



My husband and I go there at least once a month sometimes searching for a need and sometimes just looking. Considering how much we have supported this establishment, and how often we go there, we would think it would be a bit more welcoming. Sadly, it's not. We have yet to go in there when people feel welcomed.



Maybe this pawn shop just needs some good competition to see what running a business is really all about.

WELL, A FUNNY STORY 1st. A BUDDY AND MYSELF WERE LOOKING INTO STARTING

UP OUR OWN PAWN SHOP AROUND THE SAME TIME SILVER FALL GOT THEIR STATE LICENSE . NEEDLESS TO SAY WE FOUND OUT IT TAKES BIG BUCKS TO GET STARTED. SO WE FOUND OUT A COUPLE OF WEEKS LATER THAT SILVER FALLS PAWN WAS COMING SOON.

I HAVE BEEN IN SEVERAL TIMES TO EITHER BUY OR SELL SOMETIHNG.

THEY HAVE ALWAYS GREETED ME WITH A SMILE AND A HAND SHAKE IF THEY ARE NOT TOO BUSY..

THE ITEMS THEY HAVE BOUGHT , I FEEL THAT I GOT A FAIR PRICE FOR AND THE ITEMS I HAVE BOUGHT HAVE BEEN VERY REASONABLE IN PRICE.. YOU GET 3 ALMOST NEW DVDs FOR 10 BUCKS, WHY BOTHER RENTING????? I'VE BOUGHT MANY CDs LIKE 3 FOR 5 AND I DON'T REMEMBER BUT THE MORE YOU BUY, YOU MIGHT GET A BETTER DEAL. I KNOW THEY ARE NEGOTIABLE. OH, I SOLD SOME PURE .9999 SILVER FOR WHAT EVER SILVER WAS TRADING FOR AT THE TIME (ON THE STOCK MARKET ). I CHECKED ON LINE PRIOR TO GOING I AND THEY WERE RIGHT ON THE MONEY.



SO I KNOW I SOUND LIKE I WORK THERE BUT IT'S JUST NICE TO HAVE A PLACE TO GO TO BUY OR SELL THAT YOU NEED EITHER SOME QUICK CASH OR FIND
