The highly trained professionals of Genesis Health System Sleep Centers are available to help with the diagnosis, treatment, and the long-term management of sleep disorders.Sleep studies, called polysomnography, are conducted with patients who show signs of sleep disorders to diagnose a particular condition such as Sleep Apnea, Periodic Limb Movements of Sleep, Insomnia, Parasomnias, and Narcolepsy.The Sleep Disorders Center at Genesis Medical Center in Davenport opened in 1982. Our lab is an Accredited Member Center by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine. The Center has neurologists and a pulmonologist specializing in sleep medicine. Our technologists have completed a 2 yr program earning an associates degree in Applied Science with a registry in Polysomnography.
