Provided by YP.comService was fast and thorough. I have used them in the past and never been disappointed. It's nice to know that some people still take pride in their work.

Provided by YP.comI had our boat in the shop this week and had a pretty good experience with this company. The staff was polite, professional, and a great help. The service manager voiced his opinion on what repair work needed to be done. He was always honest and up front with me.
The facility was spotless, and so was our boat after the work was completed. Although the service was top notch, and we did have a lot of work done, our bill wasn't cheap with all the repairs. Still, I'm happy with the over all service I received.

Provided by YP.comI have been taking our boat to Dave since 2000. You will not find a more knowledgeable owner and technicians with many years of experience under their belts. They are always upfront and honest with the repairs they recommend, as well as their pricing.
The servicing/repairs I've had done were always done right the first time with no issues. I absolutely recommend taking your boat to these guys. Oh, and just a tip......I always take my boat is for service during the winter and I would suggest you do the same. They do get very busy during the spring and summer months.

Provided by YP.comAWESOME! We picked up our boat this afternoon and it looks AWESOME! Our boat had been sitting for awhile and needed a lot of TLC, which Marine Service Center did an amazing job with. So excited to get on the lake when the kids get out of school. I definitely recommend Marine Service Center.

Provided by YP.comI recently had our Advantage boat restored from top to bottom at Marine Service Center. The things we had done were: full engine service, brakes and boards on the trailer replaced, boat carpet and three seat cushions replaced, exterior dock scratches repaired, entire exterior fiberglass sanded and polished, and a complete detail inside and out.
Took the boat to the river last week for the kids spring break and it ran perfect. It runs and looks like a brand new boat again. Thank you Marine Service Center.

Provided by YP.comMarine Service Center helped us get the damage to our boat paid for through our nightmare insurance company (progressive), who made every attempt not to pay our claim. Marine Service Center was extremely patient while my wife and I fought with our insurance company on how the PROPER repairs were to be made to our boat. Apparently they promote low premiums, but make up for the lower revenue by not paying the amount of the repair bills, minus our deductable of course, and/or paying the repair shops less to do some kind of cheese ball repair, which Marine Service Center refused to do. After the manager at Marine Service Center instructed us to call the California Insurance Commissioner's office things were resolved very quickly. The claim was paid and the repairs were made.
We had taken our boat to Marine Service Center back in 2009 for a annual service, and this was our second visit. They were helpful, knowledgable, and did a great job on our boat. We will definitely be going back for our annual service next year.

Provided by YP.comHIGHLY RECOMENDED!!!!!!! Dropped my boat off at MSC yesterday and also brought 007's post to the owners(Dave) attendtion. He then presented a signed copy of 007's repair order to me authorizing an engine service & a boat detail. It says absolutely nothing about checking the engine for a poor running condition, or starting condition. This would lead a technician to believe that the engine ran fine the last time it was used and being in the repair business (automotive) myself, I know that by law we are only allowed to do work that is stated on the repair order unless additional work is authorized at a later time.
I asked Dave about the $2500.00, and he said "that price was for a remanufactured engine because one cylinder has close to zero compression". (not something that is caused from an engine sitting for 6 or 7 years) Maybe the reason why 007 only paid $1500.00 for the engine is because it has so many problems. Low compression and no spark on cylinders doesn't happen from sitting and would pose a running issue when it was last used, which was not stated on the repair order. Carb issues would definately be caused by an engine sitting for 6 or 7 years. (who's too blame for that?)
I can't say that I blame Dave for making 007 pay cash and get the boat out of his business after the things 007 had said to him, but I guess we all handle confrontations in different ways. After all, who wants to be told that their not going to get paid for the work they just finished because someone stopped payment on a check.
I've known Dave since the late 80's when he worked for a dealership in the L.A. area. My father would take his boat into the dealership and not let anyone else touch his boat. I can remember a trip to Havasu back then when my father hit a rock and damaged the outdrive. He called Dave from Havasu, drove back to L.A. while Dave built another outdrive, and it on the boat the next morning. My father then drove back to Havasu so we could finish our vacation.
He has maintained my Sea Ray every year since I bought it in 1995, and I have not had one problem with it. He's been repairing boats for a long time and as a fellow boater, he knows his industry well. I would HIGHLY recomend Marine Service Center any time.

Provided by YPmobileThe owner has very bad business ethics. He quoted me a price for the job and then raised it over $200 without notification.

Provided by YP.comNOT RECOMENDED. Took in a boat that had not been run in 6 or 7 years. Asked if they had some type of service for boats that had not been started in so long. He said he would try and get it started and if it started perform a yearly maintenance for $400. He then called me and said it would not start and that it would be $2500 to rebuild the carb, fuel pump and ignition box. I only paid 1500 for the engine and could get the thing rebuilt from top to bottom for 2500. However my biggest problem is that they went ahead and did the service anyway even though the boat was not ever running. how do you do a $400 service on a boat thats not even running? when i complained telling him he said he would get it running before performing the service he said i was lying and that now he wanted cash since i was not happy. i would have happily paid them a diagnostic fee of a couple hundred but they would not even discuss it with me and said i had to pick it up that night or he would start charging me storage. Find another location to service your boat.
