After causing an accident, I was charged with Driving Under the Influence. Vehicle Code Section 23152(a) and Vehicle Code Section 23152 (b) which are both misdemeanor offenses. In addition, at the time of the accident I had a very high blood-alcohol content well above the legal limit and faced a sentence enhancement because of that.
