Chad Ward, MD, is a cardiologist and electrophysiologist with special interests in complex ablation of atrial and ventricular arrhythmias, atrial fibrillation, ventricular tachycardia, supraventricular tachycardia, cardiac devices (pacemakers, defibrillators, leadless pacemakers), lead management (including extractions), and left atrial appendage occlusion. Dr. Ward earned his medical degree from the Indiana University School of Medicine, in Indianapolis, Indiana. He completed his residency in internal medicine at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City, Iowa. He also completed fellowships in cardiovascular medicine at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City, Iowa, and clinical cardiac electrophysiology at the Ohio State Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio. Dr. Ward is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in both internal medicine and cardiovascular medicine. He is also board certified in clinical cardiac electrophysiology from the American Board of Internal Medicine.
