They serviced my system years ago, and everything went fine, mind you that something you need to understand is that when you've an oil furnace you need to find a technician personally, what I mean is that you need to find a tech that is available 24-7 that doesn't work for anyone, an independent contractor, sort of like when you need a lawyer, you just don't call a law firm and expect them to take your case immediately, not gonna happen, as a homeowner you need to have an electrician, a plumber, a tech for your oil furnace in call 24-7 they don't charge anything for this, but you need to have all independent contractors.

Came out to fix my furnace after 2 other companies told me to just replace it. Fixed the problem and got my family heat. I will be using this company from here on.

I don't even have a contract with them ,and they delivered oil to my property at 21 South pearl , Robesonia Pa..They told me they purchased Berks oil Co.the thing is I terminated my business with Berks. You would think if I was still a customer of Berks ,I would have been notified of the change !!!!!!. Shaddy Business practices !!!!!!!!

The worst oil company I have ever delt with! They tried to rip off my tenant with a service tech telling them that the oil tank was bad and needed to be replaced before serving them oil. The stangest thing is they delivered oil to my property two months ago from other tenants? My tank was spotless and has been service from another companies with no problem? ?? This company preys on first time buyers beware of this eg smith!!!

If I could do zero stars I would have. It is January 1 2012 and I have no heat in my house. I moved into this house 4 months ago and until today have had no issues with my furnace. I called the # from the sticker on the side of my furnace to see if I could get someone out to hopefully fix the unit. I was told that they do not service people that are not active clients on weekends or holidays. I told them that although I am not a current client I had just moved into the house and their sticker and regular maintenance calls were shown on the furnace. The woman said that unless I personally have a contract with them, they will not send anyone out to help. I understand that all companies live by certain policies but think this was a bit of a stretch given my situation and the fact that the homeowner prior to me had used them numerous times for this specific unit. In my opinion it was bad business and I hope this post helps someone in the future to not use this company or be sure to call them Monday-Friday regardless of your situation. PS. I have a 2 and 3 year old which only makes their decision more annoying to me.

EG Smith in Sinking Spring Treated me like i was a member of the family. I googled and called places local in the reading, pa area and EG Smith was able to place my personal situation before their best interrest. EG Smith restored my faith in how a business should be ran. This one time emergency, cold calling customer is now a loyal customer. Did i also mention that they came within 30min of my first call and fix the issue with my wife at home with in 30min on the hottest day of the year. Do not question call them and find out for yourself.. you will no regret calling EG Smith.
