Our goal is to live this great commission in everything we do St. Paul says that Faith comes by hearing the message of Jesus Christ. We strive to share that message not only amongst ourselves, but also with those in our community who have not heard of God s gift of love for them. The author of Hebrews reminds us that Hope is being certain of what we do not see and this is done by faith We endeavor to bring the hope of eternal salvation to all of Christ s people by reaching out in love to those who don t yet know him. In the Old Testament we are told to be Strong and courageous for the Lord God is with us He will not fail or forsake us. The strength we have comes from the knowledge that we are children of God through Baptism. We are also made stronger to carry out our task by receiving the Lord s Supper. Our Mission is to bring Faith, Hope and Strength to all Christ's people with the understanding that Christ is with us assisting and directing our efforts.

We offer three church services: Sunday at 8:00 AM & 10:30 AM and Wednesday at 7:00 PM. We offer Bible Studies on Sunday at 9:15 AM, Thursday at 10:00 AM, and Wednesday (Pheasant Acres) at 9:30 AM. Check out the website for Women's Bible Studies and Youth Activities.

Annual Calvary Events: TV Free Week – During February Calvary offers a week of planned activities, Bible Studies, and meals to take the place of TV. This is for youth and adults. Rummage Sale – During the spring Calvary offers a rummage sale to raise money for supporting missions, missionaries, and other world relief projects. Easter Sunrise Service – All the local LCMS churches of Sioux City have an Easter Sunrise Service at the Stoney Creek Inn Conference Center at 6 AM. Over 500 people go to this enlightening service. Bag-a-Lunch – During the summer Calvary offers a free meal Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays to all children of the community for free. May – August from 11:30-12:30 meals are served. All Church Picnic – The last Sunday in August Calvary offers an outdoor worship service and picnic at Hinton City Park. All three worship services combine so members and friends can meet each other! Cookie Walk – The first Saturday in December the ladies of Calvary offer candies and cookies to the community by the pound. It goes from 8 am till noon. All proceeds go for supporting, missions, missionaries, and other world relief projects. Marriage Retreat – Every other year with the help of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church Calvary puts on the Sioux City Date Night marriage retreat for all couples (husband & wife) to spend a night out rekindling their marriage.
