We closed on our home (sellers) last Friday and then United escrow company stoped payment on proceedings Monday because they made a mistake. The reason a title company is involved and PAID is to avoid these issues. Somebody didn't do their JOB. Federal law prohibits them from taking back funds once property is closed on. If you buy a car and 3 days later the dealer sees something they left out they can't add it onto your loan 3 days later. Now We have to wait for their next check to clear on Monday of next week. What's the purpose of a title/escrow company if they are not required to do their job? They totally screwed our account up and checks were written from our account for our new home. The new check will. It clear until Monday and we will have $100's of in bank fees thanks to Tracy at United not doing the job she was paid for.
