I bought a Lester Building and just months ago had to pay an Amish Crew to come in and fix the mistakes and poor workmanship on it. Lester shorted me on dripstop for my building, they shorted me on 3/4" exterior plywood and they incorrectly engineered the exterior of my bldg. They also provided me with one of their Lester dealer/builders saying he did good work, which was a lie. After this Lester builder built my building and left town and we had our first rain I had 25 leaks in my roof, 8 roof purlins not nailed at all, facia barely on the trusses, soffit rattling from not being nailed properly, gaps/openings in my roof valleys where cold wind was blowing in to my attic and had blown my attic insulation away in that area, bird blocks not nailed at all, 2 blocks not even installed. The Lester Dealer/Builders name is C&C Construction, Willis Childress is the owner/builder. Before this Lester Builder left town I asked him if I had a problem with my building do I just call you back and he said yes, but its a $500 minimum if I come back for anything, so on the roof leaks I didn't even call him, I got on the roof and fixed them myself and what I found was that he had installed the roof screws missing the roof purlins and some screws were too short, I fixed all that myself, but it took me 2 years to finish and move into my building and that's when I started finding the more serious problems, but when I did, I first called the Lester Building regional manager out who was shocked at my bldg. problems, but after he spoke with Lester Bldgs. Upper Management he told me that Lester doesn't feel any responsibility for any of what they called "my bldg. issues" and will not be helping me. So I told them that I would be paying the Amish Crew to come in and fix my Lester Building and could you at least help me out in one area and that's the soffit material I need to make the repairs, I asked Lester if they could at least give me a discount on that material and they said no to that too. I at that point paid for more Lester Building soffit material and then paid the Amish Crew to come in and fix my Lester building and boy am I glad I did. We found so many problems with my building that would have turned into serious problems at some point. I found that Lester Buildings will smooze you into thinking their a great company, but they weren't a great company for me, they only caused me a lot of stress, money and time. I would not want anyone to go thru what I went thru with Lester Buildings, so with that in mind, I would not recommend anyone buying a Lester Building.
