Fred The Fixer is the ONLY place to get keys made! I had four keys made over the weekend at a "we make keys too" business and only 1 of the keys worked partially; it would unlock but not lock. I took the keys in to Fred The Fixer the following Monday and unfortunately they weren't able to salvage the ones I just had made, but the keys that they remade for me work so good. They are perfect! Take your keys to the business that specializes in just keys instead of the business' that offer them as an afterthought, you wont be sorry.

After my 5 year old locked the doors of our van, resulting in me not being able to open the door and get our 8 month old daughter out, I had my husband call our Road Side Assistance (my card was locked in the car, with the baby AND my spare keys, from my work bag). He then called me, from work, to say there was no chance to get them to do anything for 2-3 hours, due to weather around the country. I tried to call Fred first thing, but the "call now" button wouldn't just call, in my panic, I scrounged for others to call. I called another company, who told me to try someone else, there were a few calls ahead of me, if not, I could call him back, but it would be a few hours.

I went back to find the number for Fred and manually dial. The phone was answered quickly and I blurted out our situation. I told him we were two miles out of town. He asked for the address, confirmed the address, got my phone number and said he was on his way. No fuss, no nothing! When he arrived, maybe 10 minutes later, he jumped out of his van, ran to the door opposite the one we were trying to break into and went to work! Once my daughter was out, I told him the calling process we went through and thanked him profusely. He then turned to me and said, "I had calls ahead of you, too. I was on my way to one of them and called to tell them I was going to you first! This takes precedent!"

Of course everyone was fine and in no real danger for the time being, I cannot express how thankful I am, that he came straight to help us out! You are now on speed dial!!!

Fred the fixer saved the night ... landlord refused to come unlock my best friends apt at midnight. Fred was the only lock smith to answer the phone on a holiday and charged a very reasonable rate!!
