I lived at Maple Heights apartments. While the apartment itself was ok, the property manager Chanelle is HORRIBLE to deal with. Apartments are supposed to be smoke free.. they aren't. Smoke and the smell of pot in the hallway was rampant at times and Chanelle did NOTHING about complaints. One person in the building let their dogs poop in the hallways and again Chanelle did nothing about it, She let it continue. It was horrible. She is the worst person I've ever had to deal with in any rental company. Does not respond to or care about complaints, even from good tenants. She doesn't care if the building is in disarray and doesn't make anyone comply with rules. It's no wonder the building is half empty now...

Few years ago I put a 700$ pet deposit down. My roommates and I didn't get along and so they were kind enough to sign a form releasing me from my lease. I couldn't get my 700$ pet deposit back until all parties moved out of the apartment said Chanelle. Two years later they all finally moved out and Chanelle is refusing to give me back my money. No where on the lease does it say they keep my PET DEPOSIT. Only my security deposit would be kept. I had an attorney call Great Plains and she said Chanelle was very rude and taking advantaged of young people.

Chanelle Hurkes is the rudest most condescending dis-compassionate person. Western Comfort Apartments are 20 years old and in need of multiple repairs to appliances and air-conditioners. When my elderly neighbor's air-conditioning stopped working it was an absolute nightmare to get help. And then Chanelle left a condescending voice mail message chastising me for calling and told me to "pass along " that air conditioning is not an emergency - she repeated this knowing she was talking to residents who are elderly and disabled. And then she wanted me to tell all the other tenants the correct number and that air-conditioning is not an emergency. I called the State Housing Authority and then spoke with Donna and then Chanelle. During both calls I experienced panic attacks from being so horribly spoken to. And then Chanelle claims she didn't say the things she said in her voicemail. Never rent from Great Plains Management unless you want to be treated like a piece of sh**.

The building is built crappy, windows bleed cold air, tge balconies are rotted, the walls are so thin you can feel people walking and talking, the managers are very rude and unwilling to assist with anything and the maintainence man is perverted. i had to change my locks without them knowing just to feel safe while i ride out my.lease. never will i rent from these people again!

GPPM - Maple Town Homes is a decent property but the management are the absolute worst people to deal with. The people skills are awful and they blame everything on the tenants. For example, the rent box got broken into and they said it wasn't their fault for the occurence. I called to confirm if my check had been deposited or not and they told me very rudely to write another check and figure it out. In addition to this they told me to give a 60 day notice before moving out in writing and she yelled at me over the phone when I called to come in to do so. Every time I have contacted the office they are extremely rude and disrespectful. Not very happy with living here simply because of the management. I wouldn't recommend this property.

GPPM manages my building Maple Heights. Maple Heights is a horrible place to live. The building is close to the interstate so you can hear the cars passing by all year long. Sometimes you can feel the big rigs shake the apartment. The AC has gone out 7 times in two summers. The heat was out over a week last winter. The management company is absolutely unhelpful and is unwilling to help with concerns. The walls are thin so you can hear the neighbors walking and talking. Its supposed to be smoke free, however, it is not enforced. Overall I would not recommend this place to anyone, ever.
