Sanford Health is an integrated network of physicians and health care facilities that provides medical services to residents throughout southeastern South Dakota, southwestern Minnesota, northwestern Iowa and northeastern Nebraska. It manages more than 300 physicians and 150 health care facilities, including the 475-bed Sioux Valley Hospital, Sioux Valley Clinic, Sioux Valley Home Care and the South Dakota Asthma Institute. Together the facilities offer acute care, cancer care, cardiology, oncology, neuroscience, pediatrics, trauma care, orthopedics and women s health services. Sanford Health was established in 1996 and is based in Sioux Falls, S.D. It also operates Sioux Valley Foundation, which obtains charitable support for the system s medical, educational and research programs.
