Provided by YP.comWe were very displeased and frustrated with the service from SD furniture mart and we will not be going back to purchase anything from them again. We ordered a bedroom set during Black Friday sale and were billed a couple days after. The bedroom set was on clearance but we were told they had everything in stock to ship the product to us. After numerous calls and promises of delivery before Christmas, We did not receive the furniture until January 4th. When it arrived, the bed set drawers were broken so they sent a maintenance guy about a month later to come fix it. The maintenance guy could not fix it, so they called us and told us they would need to pick up the whole set and give us store credit to pick out a new set and they would give us 30 days to do this. I called to talk to the manager and he didn’t give me any options on discounted bedroom sets or did not apologize for our hassle with this set. They offered to give us $100 off of the current condition of the broken set we received, but from the trouble and frustrations we had been through, I felt like that was not a great offer and was terrible service. Needless to say, SD Furniture Mart or the Maintenance guy was unable to fix the drawers, but my husband was able to so they did not put much effort into that either.

We bought a $2500 furniture set (reclining sofa, love seat and recliner) 16 months ago and one of the handles broke to one of the recliners in the sofa. We went in to talk to the store sales person about getting a replacement part. She said they don't deal with it but could go over to their warehouse and they could get us to the manufacture, oh and the warehouse is across town. I said no way are we driving all the way over their now and can't you help us. So she proceedes to dial the number to the warehouse and hands the phone to us. These sales people wouldn't deal at all with it. I have never had a company who I bought something from dial a number and say hear ya go. Now the wearhouse guy said we had to deal with the manufacture. After getting angry and telling them we would tell all our friends and collegues on facebook and in person what horrable customer service they have he finally agreed to get and pay for the part. I will never buy there again.

I bought a restonic mattress and box spring from South Dakota Furniture Mart about a year ago. I am very disappointed with the bed and the customer service of the store. After about a month, the mattress began to show impressions of our bodies-meaning you can see where I sleep and my husband sleeps. I called customer service to talk to them about this and they said they would send me a form to fill out.-although the customer service person told me that this is normal for a mattress-I received the form and it states on it that mattresses are not covered for this defect because body impressions are a sign of a good mattress!! I weigh 110 pounds and after a year's time-the impression has gotten much, much worse. When I wake up from sleeping on my side, my arm that I have slept on is numb from the angle it has been in. I gave them another chance yesterday to make it right-they did acknowledge that my bed was sagging "quite a bit" but there was nothing they would do about it

South Dakota Furniture Mart has horrible customer service..The sales person won't help the customer, no help from the sales manager. The customer service manager is the worst. It is eaither sd furniture mart does NOT care or Lane Furnitue has sold them a bunch of Junk. Eaither way we waited a long time and saved for a lot of years to get new furniture, now we have a bunch of junk.........

Merchandise was delivered defective, quality of service was horrible! They won't tell you this when they sell you the furniture, but they only give you a 7 day warranty on their furniture and they certainly do not stand behind their product. When you discover a defect in the product and it is beyond 7 days from delivery before you get back to the store, they will rudely show you the fine print on the back side of the invoice stating that the product is only warrantied for 7 days. So, basically, you buy it, you own it, even if the product turns out to be defective. No one should purchase large ticket items like furniture under these terms. My advice is to not darken the doors of any of their stores; Furniture Mart, Unclaimed Freight, Ashley Furniture, or Carpet One. Their are plenty of other furniture retailers around that actually appreciate customers.
