Orchard Village, located in Skokie, Ill., provides support to people with developmental disabilities, such as mental disability, autism, cerebral palsy and Down syndrome. The institution provides 24-hour and intermittent residential services and employment. It provides respite for families with young children who have developmental disorders, recreation for such people in nursing homes, and day activities for seniors. Orchard Village offers programs in various areas including improving the health of clients; providing differentiated residential and day programs for senior citizens with developmental disorders; and transitional services for young adults and others wishing to live and work more independently.
