I made an appt. on Thursday to...

I made an appt. on Thursday to get in on Friday. The woman who scheduled me told me that I would first see the doctor and right after that the chiropractor. This appt. started at 10:30. Dr. Robledo is the physician and she was very nice and empathetic about me being uncomfortable with pain. The only bad thing that happened there was that she told me to get undressed and put on a paper gown but she didn't come back for 25 minutes or so. I was freezing and could hear her next door talking with a coworker so I got dressed and went out to see when she was coming back. She quickly came in and apologized for that. She had the office medical assistant (also very lovely) do nerve testing to check for nerve damage. No one told me the results but maybe they send them in the mail.

The chiropractor, Dr. Linda A. Pinkus, was not able to see me until 12:45 but I was happy to wait because I was optimistic that I would be find some relief. She looked at my ex-ray and told me her analysis of what she was seeing with another patient in the room. So much for confidentiality. Hipaa anyone? She put me on a table with ice on my back so she could keep treating her other patient and then told me she didn't have time to treat me today and said, "When can you come back?" I explained that I needed to be seen today and was told that I would. Drum roll please.... she said in the way a parent speaks to their young child, "DON'T ARGUE WITH ME!" She proceeded to tell me that she squeezed me in and that other patients were waiting. I told her that her bedside manner was awful and I would be happy to leave. She back peddled and said she would treat me but that she couldn't do an exam. I stayed because as I said before I desperately needed relief. To make a long story longer, when it was time for me to go I asked her if she could tell me my diagnosis since at that point she had reviewed my ex-rays and "treated" me in her unique way. Again, the anger bubbled up in her and she said, "I can't do this with you right now!!!". Then she yelled saying that other patients were waiting while she took time out of her schedule to treat me. HUH? I couldn't believe it. She said she would tell me my diagnosis 5 days from now. When I told her that I was her patient she said that she would call me at the end of the day to tell me. I admit that I am probably more emotional right now than I usually am because I am in a great deal of pain but I have never in my life been spoken to or treated like this by any medical professional. She was pretty snippy with the other patient who was in the same room with me which I should have taken as a huge red flag. People in pain - beware of Dr. Linda Pinkus - she is aggressive, condescending and completely unprofessional in every way - right down to her cowboy boots. I went seeking relief and started at 10:30 optimistic and left at 2:00 in tears with no relief and in fact more stress from having gone there in the first place. Dr. Pinkus further proved her inappropriate and unprofessional behavior by stalking me. She called me several times to the point where I had to block her phone. One of the calls was at 9:50 pm. The cherry on the top is that she sent me a letter (certified) stating that my diagnosis was a concussion. She knew I never hit my head in the accident (and of course so does the other patient who was in the room with us). There are no words left to describe her ineptitude.
