I ended up purchasing a used minivan from Chuck Spaeth Ford because they were super accomodating. I told the salesman exactly what my budget was and what I wanted in the van- bucket seats in the middle and a bench seat in the back. I also wanted a CD and tape player, and wanted the previous owner/s to be non-smoking. I first test drove a van at the Sleepy Eye location, then asked if they had anything else at the New Ulm location down the road. The salesman checked and called ahead while I drove over. When I got to New Ulm, the two vans that fit my requirements were pulled up front. After test driving both, I couldn't make a decision between one of the vans and the van at the first location. The salesman told me I could drive the van I liked back to Sleepy Eye and compare it side by side to the one there. After making a comparison, I made a decision. Since the minivan was right out of my price range, the salesman got approval to lower the cost to make it affordable to me. The next weekend when I returned with a bank loan check, the minivan was pulled up front and was gassed up and newly washed. The staff recognized me when I walked in and greeted me enthusiasticly.
