Our father has been a resident at Autumn Oaks since September 2007. Finding an assisted living center that came so highly recommended had been difficult task. Fortunately, Autumn Oaks had been referred by our Pastor. He felt very comfortable recommending Autumn Oaks, stating that "although it is a small facility, everyone there has big hearts". How true he was. I get an opportunity to visit Dad at least once a week and have always found him to be in good nature and in overall good health. He does have some health issues that the nursing staff has cared for very well and monitors on a regular basis (as needed). They have activities for the residents, some field trips, and opportunities to partake in visiting with groups that come in to entertain and/or visit. My Dad has always loved food. For a while when he lived at home, he had meals delivered. That didn't work very well (he's a fussy eater). Autumn Oaks has two kitchens. Food is home cooked. They get a nice variety. Dad never complains! Dad has never complained about anything. Naturally, he would like to still live at home, but due to his health issues, that is not a possibility. I feel that this is the next best place to be. They treat him like family and always with respect. Ann Oaks, owner of Autum Oaks, is a wonderful person. Everything she initially told us about basic daily care, living arrangements, and routene medical attention has proven to be true. My brother and I are very greatful to Autumn Oaks and the entire staff for doing a great job at caring for our father.
