My daughter attends SRU as a dance major. The program is very intense and was overwhelming for her at first despite her dancing and competing since she was a very little girl. Dance majors are required to attend all auditions and are not permitted in any means to attend parties. If caught attending a party with alcohol, whether personally indulging, they are subject to dismissal from the program. Honestly, there is very little to do in Slippery Rock or the surrounding area for students under 21, or those without access to a car. We live in a small suburban area, thus this transition has been extremely difficult.
