I have recently found a bottle full of Alprazolam prescribed to my wife by Michele Becker Hamou. Dr Hamou made the diagnosis after a single, CURSORY, 15 minute appointment.
The 'trade name' for Alphazolam is ZANAX. Alprazolam is mostly used to treat anxiety disorders, panic disorders, and nausea due to CHEMOTHERAPY. Further, Alprazolam is effective in the relief of moderate to severe anxiety and panic attacks. It however is NOT A FIRST LINE TREATMENT, since the development of selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors, and alprazolam is no longer recommended for the treatment of panic disorder DUE TO CONCERNS REGARDING TOLERANCE, DEPENDENCE AND ABUSE.
How is it possible, for this Doctor to prescribe Alprazolam to a healthy, cancer free, 38 year old person after a cursory examination lasting 10 -15 minutes?
A DRUG DEALER is a DRUG DEALER whether they hang out on a street corner or in a doctors office. Someone please enlighten me, What is the difference between DR. BECKER-HAMOU and a common criminal? Is the guise of a medical degree that blurs the line between the two?
I am asking EVERYONE that reads this post to join me in boycotting this business and others like it. I ask that you please boycott these nefarious individuals exactly as one would boycott the business of any local drug dealer. Like many of you, Smithtown is my home, it is where I am raising my family. I find it nearly impossible to sit by and let businesses like this hand out DANGEROUS, PSYCHOACTIVE, ADDICTIVE DRUGS to anyone that walks through the door!
PLEASE FORWARD THIS MESSAGE TO ANYONE THAT MAY BE IN CONTACT WITH ELITE MEDICAL and MICHELE BECKER HAMOU. FURTHER, I WELCOME ANY ADVISE AS TO HOW I CAN PROPERLY RELAY THIS INCIDENT TO HIGHER AUTHORITIES IN BOTH MEDICINE or LAW ENFORCEMENT .
IF WE CAN SPREAD THE WORD ABOUT SHADY BUSINESS PRACTICES, IF WE ARE UNIFIED, IF WE WORK TOGETHER, WE MAY BE ABLE TO, AT BEST, FORCE THESE UNSCRUPULOUS BUSINESSES TO CLOSE, OR AT LEAST, GET THEM OUT OF OF OUR TOWN!
