Try the seafood soup. It is sublime. Gorditos too! Kind service. Worth a long drive.

I have eaten here multiple times. This is by far my favorite Mexican restaurant in the town.There are others, but they aren't as fresh as El Rancho. The fajitas are wonderful, the chips are plentiful, and the beverages are great.



You may find yourself asking why I would give my favorite restaurant in an area only 4 stars: Parking. If you come at lunch time for their great specials, the lot is almost always full. You almost have to shank somebody for a parking spot or park at next door.

El Rancho is without a doubt the friendliest Mexican Restaurant in Smithville. Located across the street from the high school, the restaurant is small and cosy. The decor is bright and colorful, the wait staff are wonderful and the food is fantastic! Huge burritos, delicious enchiladas and mouthwatering fajitas, always served with fresh chips and salsa.
