Varner’s is great for kids’ night! Kids eat free every Friday and they often have a balloon man. Varner’s recently released a new menu which includes bar food favorites but also more salads. They also rotate in monthly specials that are always interesting. Varner’s is a fun, local place, especially on Kids’ Night.

Boy was I excited about this new place opening up in Smyrna! Now, I am really disappointed that it just hasn't turned out to be what was expected. The main servers are a little to young or inexperienced to know you need silverware, menus, napkins to actually place an order. The quality of the food is hit or miss. The soups usually come out lukewarm so always ask for hot soup! The Club Sandwich has NO bacon so ask for that too. The Tavern Nachos & Quesadillas DO NOT come with Salsa or Guacamole. Don't ask for it...the don't have it! And won't make it for you. Crab Dip & Spinach Dip taste the same like warm sour cream. Fish and Chips NO tartar. Don't ask for it either, they don't carry tarter. Chicken Tenders are the same size as the Chicken Wings. So don't be surprised! Hope they can get it together.
