Went to buy a grill tonight and all of their grills are preassembled. That might be OK for some people but not everyone has a pick up truck. I looked up what the box dimensions were online before driving to go get it however I did not know I would have to grab one that has already been touched tons of people and is already assembled. So it would not fit. Now I will have to go somewhere else to buy that grill. So someone else can get my $500. Plus everything I was going to buy with it.

In the busy holiday season, three different employees stopped to ask if they could help me find what I needed! I appreciate the slightly out-of-the-way location of this store compared to traffic-heavy mall zones. Running in to get "just one thing" is a lot easier at Academy than other sporting good stores.

Went to go do some minor Christmas shopping and found so many great deals that I was able to get a large chnk of gifts at one store and not spend a fortune!

Troy, the manager of the Smyrna, TN store went above and beyond to assist us. I am from IN and purchased a Ping-Pong table for my dad that lives in Manchester, TN. When we got it home both boards were cracked. The manufacturer was giving Troy a hard time in getting a replacement shipped to my dad since his house was ~45 minutes away from the store. Troy took it upon himself to take a new table out of his stock and personally drive it down to Manchester to exchange the defective table out. I would have never expected this. There is no Academy Sports closed to me in IN, but if there was there is no doubt that I would be purchasing all my sporting goods from there, especially if they have employees/managers like Troy.

Very friendly employees with a great knowledge of there jobs very good sales and have a very good supply's in stock.

Great place to shop for anything athletic. Very good prices and always end up buying something there every time I go in. Anything to keep from having to go to the location in Cool Springs is a plus for me.
