Heard a strange scraping sound coming out of the engine case of my old 88 Chevy Suburbann on the way out of the mountains near Lava Hot Springs. Checked in with a mechanic there & he said it was probably the alternator, but he said there were no parts stores in town, and either I'd have to go back to Pocatello or head 20-some miles east to Soda Springs, as they had a couple of parts stores there. Long story short, it was the alternator and neither of the stores had the part. I was directed to this repair shop, and they got NAPA out of Pocatello to bring the part, plus a radiator cap that was leaking. They got me fixed up, including fixing a broken adjustor on my headlight, in a little over two hours at a very reasonable price, especially considering I was in a jam in a place I'd never been before. The people at the shop were friendly, honest, & capable, plus I got to see the geyser, and eat a good meal down the street at the diner. If you need automotive work done, these are the folks to turn to in Soda Springs.
