Provided by YP.comThe guys are a scam and take advantage of elderly. Got the van towed as it wont start. They changed the battery. It wont work. They changed the alternator and broke the radiator and condensor while changing the alternator and told me that it was already broken. Paid $2000 for the battery, alternator, condensor and radiator.
After the alternator was changed the battery light and door open light would start blinking. Took to a different shop and was told Monro should have put OEM alternator. Took the van back to Monro. John said he will change the alternator and I will need to just pay the difference in price. Went to get the van today and he asked for $430. His markup was 110%.
They are not honest and are running a scam. Instead of accepting the mistake they made (I learnt the hard way that Honda Odyssey needs OEM alternators for proper voltage regulation) they charged me 110% markup.
They were rude and seeing an elderly person eager with greed to scam in broad daylight.

Provided by YP.comI have been using this shop for years and have been mostly pleased although it does seem that new employees over the past couple of years seem to always find something wrong with my car. Considering I get a new car every three years, there is rarely anything really wrong.
I took the car in (after having made an appointment) to get my snow tires changed out and the oil changed. I was told they didn't really have time to do both jobs as they were backed up from the day before - where is this my problem? I made an appointment and it should have been honored.
But the bigger issue is that they told me that I needed to replace all four tire pressure sensors as they were corroded and could not be removed intact and that it was illegal to put normal valve stems in place of the sensor monitors. The cost would be over $600. This sounded fishy to me so I left. I called my leasing company and they had me take my car to a service location they deal with on a regular basis - it happened to be a Firestone location. I learned that it is not illegal to put regular valve stems in but more important - they were able to remove the sensors and put them into my regular tires. Yes - it took a few extra minutes because of the some corrosion, but they did it and everything works fine.
Needless to say I will not be returning to Monro. As far as I am concerned they attempted to steal over $600 from me.
