Hinkle Block and Masonry Products' plant in Somerset, Ky., is one of two block plants operated by the Hinkle Contracting Corporation in Kentucky. It offers a full line of concrete block and masonry products, tools and technical support services to meet the needs of builders in south central and southeast Kentucky and northern Tennessee. In business for more than 50 years, the company supplies builders and contractors with concrete block, lightweight block, brick, sand, decorative stone, manufactured stone, masonry mortar, Portland cement, insulation, masonry tools, steel products and retaining wall systems. Hinkle Contracting Corporation has 15 asphalt plants in Kentucky, six quarries with partnership in two additional quarries, a concrete group, concrete block plants, environmental services group, railroad group, construction/asphalt office and plant and 600-plus employees.
