Somerset Middle School serves students in grades five through eight. Its academic curriculum includes programs in language arts, business education, mathematics, science and social studies. The school additionally conducts classes in art, music, band and physical education. Somerset Middle School also provides gifted and talented education. It offers special education programs for students with various disabilities. The school employs counselors who coordinate ongoing systemic activities to help students establish personal goals and develop future plans. In addition, the counselors help students to resolve and cope with personal and social problems and developmental concerns. Somerset Middle School s media center offers an accelerated reader program that encourages students to read books and take comprehension tests. It is located in Somerset, Wis., and is a part of the School District of Somerset.
