Never buy from this Pelican pool location ..

My contract was not fulfilled as promised , The contract read I was suppose to receive a 500.00 store credit upon the purchase of a 16000.00 cal spa hot tub . We never received the credit . The hot tub is malfunctioning within 2 weeks of purchase . We had to stop payment with out credit card company and is now in dispute . Never purchase anything from the business. They are not ethical ..

Love this Place

After reading all the bad reviews, I can't help but write a positive one. We've been shopping at Pelican for about 10 years and have never had an unpleasant experience. Most recently, we were shopping there for Christmas in the Clothing department for a new outfit for our college aged kids. Tons to choose from and the people were super helpful - definitely new what we should get to make sure our kids had what they needed when we hit the slopes. The jacket we picked out for our daughter was too big and had no problem returning. Admittably,, the last time we were there was 2 summers ago to buy some chaise lounges and an umbrella - but, that was very pleasant experience as well - even when we had to warranty one of the chaises. No hassle and great follow thru. I would shop there again

Never purchase anything from this establishment, you will be sorry.

We purchased our first Cal Spa Hot tub from the Manager Ken. $1200.00 top of the line tub. From the very beginning we started having trouble with the therapeutic seats and controls. The controls kept malfunctioning and had to be replaced. This occurred 7 times and now its out of warranty. We started buying the controls and replacing them ourselves, not to mention the rubber neck rests falling apart and floating in the tub. POOR QUALITY... We use pelican for our yearly pool supplies, had purchased deck patio yard furniture umbrellas, spending now a total of $23000.00. Its 12 years later now due for another hot tub. We spoke to Ken and he had promised the newer models and tubs have all been changed and all the problems with the older models have been resolved, we where hesitant. Since he assured us all the kinks have been worked out , we just purchased the top of the line Cal SpaTub again for $16000.00 Jan 1st. its now Jan 19th and we are having problems again. I stopped in to talk about the problems, tried to set up a service call and explain to Ken i hope this is not the start of another $16000.00 lemon. If it is I would like it returned. He told me we cannot take it back , we got into an argument and told me to leave the store.They also agreed upon the installation of the new hot tub they would give us a $500.00 store credit, which was never given to us. Now we had to stop payment on the entire with Chase Sapphire card. They asked me to leave and wouldn't solve the situation. Lesson learned Do not use Pelican pool . You will be very sorry you walked into this establishment. Poorly run, rude, substandard service . Even after spending over $30,000.00.. Just read all the bad reviews. Very disappointing . DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS STORE.....

Very Disappointed Customer on New Pool Purchased & Delivery

In Jan 2013 I purchased a above ground pool (Package Deal) for $4900.00 CASH!It was stored in Pelican's Warehouse for the winter & delivered on 5/2/13. All boxes arrivedwith water stains on the cardboard, the ladder never came in a box rather was wrappedin clear plastic and FILTHY DIRTY inside. The pool cover was never delivered at alland I was told I would get in september 2013 . When I called the store the customer servicewas horrendous. I was told their Warehouse had a leaking roof from SANDY and that is whythe boxes had water damage. I was then told I would have to wait a week for new laddersto come in therefore verifying the one I rec'd was either used or damaged and they shippedwhat ever they had. The worst part is that the shipment came with NO INVOICE that I couldmatch to my receipt and I was told it is not Pelican's policy to send a packing slip showingwhat they took from the warehouse & then delivered to customer. $5000 later all I rec'd wasexcuses, damaged merchandise, and items never delivered at all. I would NEVER recommend Pelican pool to anyone and hope no other customer is treated so poorlyas I have been.

Pool Purchase

We just purchased our family pool from them and if you're in the market for a pool just ask for "Mike" in pools....he is extremly knowledegable and helpful. He helps you find what you want "not" what they're trying to push off on you like some other places. Art & Chris were also very helpful We have also purchased snow board eq. from them in the past and that crew as also very helpful. They are not a rude group...sometimes the unhappy customer as in prior review statements act like idiots and then they don't like they reception they get. Highly recommend this business!!!

Do not shop here

This place is extremely overpriced and the people that work here are rude. They also have a terrible return policy. Do not support this business.

Failure to cover Warranty

I purchased a CALSPAS from PelicanSpas with a lifetime warranty.the ozone generator failed after 1.5 years. When I contacted Pelican I was told the part was no longer made. They could not help me and to contact CalSpas direct.CalSpas told me based on the serial number there is no lifetime warranty even though it is clearly stated on the invoice. I sent them a copy of the invoice twice and have not heard back.Final I contact the manufacturer of the part and was told it is available and could purchase it on line for $38.I call Pelican to explain the part is available and tried to get they to honor the warranty.I was told the warranty was not theirs , was called a butthole and hung up on.I will never deal with Pelican Spas or CalSpas again.
