I recently stayed both at the hospital and in their trained nurses unit (rehab) downstairs because I had a hip replacement (in their brand new OR). This was the most amazing hospital I've ever stayed at. The staff was kind, respectful, really geared toward healing. The food ranged from "okay" (breakfast) to "really good" (dinner). I don't think I met one staff member who I didn't immediately like. The atmosphere is about as healing as any hospital atmosphere could be, and I particularly appreciated the two outdoor gardens filled with healing plants like rosemary and others. The communication between staff members, as well as their obvious comraderie, made it a great place to get well. Look, nobody wants to be in the hospital. But if it's necessary -- and especially for orthopedics -- Sonoma Valley can completely change your attitude about hospitals.
