The intake process is ridiculously long. It took tons of paperwork and six weeks just to meet with a therapist. Since then, I've had to wait a month (usually longer) between sessions. During the last 4-6 months (can't exactly remember), I saw my therapist three times and she turned out to be rather cold and unhelpful. What a complete waste of time.



Yesterday I was finally told there is only one other therapist on staff. Gee, I wish they had told me this at the beginning. I would not have bothered. Usually you must go through several therapists before finding a decent one. When I think of all the hoops I jumped through for this organization with its sub-par therapist (I only saw the one), it makes me quite angry.



I hope you have insurance other than Medi-Cal. Otherwise, you're pretty much screwed. I've been at this for some time and it seems the only two options are no therapy and bad therapy.
