Provided by YP.comI am so thrilled with my new kitchen! The work itself was done professionally and in a timely manner but what really impressed me in the entire process was the design and coordination of it all. I worked with other companies to get bids but didn't feel heard or understood. American Kitchen & Bath heard me, incorporated my lifestyle and added ideas and recommendations that I could not have created myself which resulted in more than my dreams come true. For someone like me who bakes and cooks a lot, I so appreciate the quality and layout in my very high functioning new space. It's been so fun to entertain and share the exquisite results of their expertise. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Provided by YP.comWe recently had our kitchen remodeled to bring it more up to date with todays tends. The design team was excellent to work with as we explored several design options. The removal of the old cabinets and installation of the new went off without a hitch. The installation contractor arrived on time, worked diligently and took the time to clean up at the end of the day. In fact, this is our third kitchen that American Kitchen & Bath has installed for us as we have moved several times. Each time the product quality, design, service and installation has been nothing but first rate. The one thing I have learned about remodeling and new construction, is that you are very lucky if there aren't any snags of delays. It is the professionalism of the business you deal with to make the situation right that lets you know if you would ever buy from them again. If I ever need another kitchen of bath remodel, I would definitely go with American Kitchen and Bath. I would definitely recommend them.

Provided by YP.comJim evaluated our kitchen and designed a great layout in a challenging old house. His years of expertise were evident and appreciated. He provided a list of contractors that he hand selected based on the particular skills required to handle a historic home, which was also greatly appreciated.
That said, Jim made a few off-color, sexist remarks, such as stopping midsentence in a conversation about the space layout and potential cabinet pieces just to tell me he would "return to talking about the 'pretty stuff', but that was important". The implication being that I, as a woman, was merely concerned with the pretty colors and looks of the kitchen and that when the men were done with the grown up conversation, we could return to the "womanly" topics. I'd like to say that this was the only time that Jim's behavior towards me was inappropriate, but he was often condescending. When installation began, one cabinet did not fit. When I called Jim to discuss, he became emotional and accused us of the mistake and said we would have to pay to correct. Upon further investigation, it was an error on his part and the corrected cabinet was ordered. Unfortunately, this delayed the project another 3 weeks while we waited for the replacement cabinet and in that time Jim never called to apologize for the oversight or his inappropriate handing of the situation. I had to sequester myself from interacting with Jim to minimize further delays because of his apparent issues with women.
This was our first major, professional remodel project and I definitely learned a lot in the experience. While I appreciated Jim's knowledge and expertise, his customer service skills made it a challenge and has hindered me from using his company or services for subsequent projects.

Provided by YP.comI built my house and used this company for my kitchen and bathrooms (2.5). Everything went very smooth, then we started having a problem with the kitchen cabinets. They started to get a yellow tinge to them. The owner came out, Jim< and looked at the cabinets. He immediately said the there was a problem with the stain that was used on the cabinets. He said not to worry and that he would make sure everything would be taken care of. Within three days he and a representative of the cabinet maker came out to look things over. The rep for the cabinet maker took pictures and agreed with Jim that there was a problem with the stain and that he or Jim would get back to me. A couple of days later Jim called to advise that the cabinet company agreed to replace the cabinets. When I asked if we could choose different cabinets, being afraid of issues with the stain again, he told us "sure". He went back to the cabinet company and talked them into letting us pick out another cabinet line. We picked out new cabinets and they were installed and we couldn't be happier. It's easy to get good service from a business when you are buying something. However, you truly get so see what kind of business they are by the way they handle problems. I was very pleased with the out come and how things were handled. I will continue to use American Kitchen and Bath anytime possible.
