My Overall rating for this location is a One Star, Disappointing. The free eye exam process was good the Optometrists with many years experience did a very good exam. The ordering of the lenses the quality the workmanship of the lenses the customer service that I experienced was unsatisfactory. Too many mistakes. So I Took my business elsewhere. If you do go there to buy your glasses, I hope your experience is better than what I experienced. They most likely wanted me to be a satisfied customer. Oh well. I forgive them. Know that they have a no refund policy unlike some other eye care business's. Good Luck!

To Bonnie, If u have special upgrades on your lenses or your lenses had to b ordered it could take 7 to 10 days, but anywhere you go for glasses this is the average turn around time. Please don't be discouraged we want to produce quality product which can take a week or 10 days sometimes...we want you to have excellent product not rushed and inaccurate...thank you eye care express

I would NEVER very buy another pair of glasses from Eye Care!! I has appt Tue Sept 27th.today is Fri Sept 30th. And I still don't have my glasses!! I called to find out what up with my glasses and got Hung up on. It took my boyfriend calling on his phone to find out, that I'm still Not getting my glasses. I'm soooo done. CAUTION !!!! Do not get ripped off by this store like I did !!!!!!!!!

To start off with I went to the store because they were advertising a good sale, free exam and extremely good deals on frames and lenses. I was asked if I had ever tried contacts I stated that I had but have never had any luck with them in the past,I was told that there was lots of new developments and better contact lenses available and that they recommended I give them a try again. I asked if there would be an extra cost they stated that the exam would be a mere $15 instead of free + contact lenses and that would be all. I was also told that if I was not happy or satisfied with my contacts that I would be be refunded the $15 dollars and the entire amount for the contacts which was $102.00 dollars, plus the $15.00 fitting. I also purchased a new set of glasses for a total bill of $250 exactly. to make a long story short I tried the trial set of contacts for 1 week and was not happy, I went back to the store and after waiting an incredibly long time with very few customers there I finally talked to someone about just getting a refund for the contacts like we talked about originally. I was told by the gentleman that was helping me that it would not be a problem but the store had just opened and they did not have that amount of cash $132.00 in the drawer, he went on to ask if it would be okay if they just sent a check out, I said that would be fine he claimed they would make one out later that day and send it. I waited for one week nothing came in the mail so I called them I was put on hold numerous times and after about 25 minutes I finally talked to someone they claimed that the $132.00 was incorrect the amount should be $102.00 also that the check had never been sent because of the mistake. I asked when I could expect the money, I was then told they did not have them enough money in the drawer at that time but the following day someone would call me when they had enough in the drawer and I caould run back over to South Bend for a third time and pick it up. ( This is a 30 min. trip one way for me ) I waited until about 2 o'clock and still had not received a call the next day, so I called them and after about 25 minutes and being disconnected 3 times I finally got to talk to someone and they said to come over and they would take care of it. when I got there the manager handed me an envelope with $71.00 dollars in it and told me that was my refund. I have never been treated so rudely and felt so robbed in my life, it did not matter what I said or tried to ask as to why it was $71.00 instead of $132.00 or even $102.00 the manager would not even listen!!!! This location is a total rip off, I will never go back there again ! The Better Business Bureau desperately needs to look into this location!

Beware of this place

The manager is extremely rude and almost got to the point of yelling at me in front of other customers. My wife ordered and paid for new lenses to be put into her frames. They never called to let us know they were in. Finally, she went in and they told her that they were too busy to help her and she needed to come back another day. When she finally got back around to going there she found out that they had disposed of her lenses and expected her to pay for the lenses again.

Do not go to Eyecare express

I went to them because they were having a special.

When I got my glasses they were not usable...meaning I could not use them...they did a new exam to not avail...basically I can not wear the second set either.

It was a huge waste of time and money. They do not stand behind their work and frankly do not know what they are doing. The management in South Bend was the worst I have experienced. They were rude, lying, unethical people. Save yourself time money and an extreme headache and go somewhere else. I have never experience such unethical business dealings. DO NOT GO THERE! If you do you will be disappointed and you will not get your $$$ worth....I give them a .1 star...

Poor Customer Service

My friend and I purchased our glasses together. Just like the previous negative review, we experienced a long delay because the vendor broke a lense while applying the coating . We called several times, and they kept putting us on hold or disconnecting, It took 20-25 min. to conduct the conversation each time. The same poor customer services happens in the office. They don't have enough people to handle the customers and answer the telephones. You are constantly interrupted or made to wait either in person or on the phone.



When each of our glasses came in on different days, they did not call us. We called them, and their excuse for not calling was that they are way too busy.



When we went to office to pick up glasses, the lady who tried to adjust glasses to our faces didn't seem to know how to adjust glasses. She could not properly fit them to our faces.. She also kept answering the phone and making us wait, along with other customers standing in line behind us. She finally had to have another lady properly adjust the glasses to our face.



Very poor customer service. I doubt we'll go back and we'll definitely tell others.

Wonderful place to get my glasses!

I came to EyeCare Express and I had a wonderful expierence. The staff was friendly and very helpful and I love my new glasses (both pairs!) I did their buy one get one free and paid half for both my glasses compared to my one I got a few years ago at another optometrist office. I would highly reccomend this place to anyone in need of glasses that doesnt want to spend a whole lot of money.
