We are a local family owned and operated firework store that was established in the local area in 1920 by my great-grandfather. My grandfather Joseph Perri continued in his father’s footsteps by creating his own set pieces that he used to shoot local and regional fireworks shows. A few of the local places he was known to shoot shows include Playland Park, Central Park, and Starlight Drive-in Theater. Known as Papa Joe from his restaurant days, or simply Joe by those who knew him, was instrumental in starting the retail sales of fireworks in our area selling out of the back of his car. Many of the other area retail fireworks owners in the area got their start in the business by either working for Joe or by going to his business as a child
