Cafe Mamtaz serves authentic gourmet Indian, Pakistani and Bangladeshi cuisine offering takeout, delivery and catering only. We may be new in South Boston, but we bring decades of experience in the restaurant industry from top Boston restaurants. Our menu is complete and includes tikka masala, gosht vindaloo, shahi pulau, mulligatawny soup, Indian salad and tandoori dishes. All of our tandoori specials are marinated in our homemade yogurt and house special sauce for 12 hours. It is then slow cooked on skewers in a clay tandoor oven. During cooking, the fat drips away but the juices remain. The result is lean cooking that still retains a rich flavor! All dishes are then served with naan (bread) that is pan?baked in the tandoori oven when ordered. Don't let our size fool you, our food is second to none.

Taste like real Indian food

I went to cafe mamtaz last week looking small clean place, i bought tandoori chicken and chicken curry also pashwari naan, taste awesome, Delicious, taste like Real indian food. tandoori chicken was juicy and very flavourfull, i never had food before from cafe mamtaz, also there gave me 10% off for first time customer that was nice. I will keep trying food from small clean place .....cafe mamtaz

OMG

OMG! Am I in heaven? This place just opened a few blocks from us on L St. & it is excellent thus far. Used to order from Shanti in Dorchester but this is waay better. We ordered the eggplant dish & lamb vindaloo & both were delish w/ very authentic spices. Fab garlic naan - freshly baked. I ordered a chai today which had very nice spices but I generally like mine brewed longer for a stronger flavor & darker color. Best take-out in Southie in my opinion.

Cafe Mamtaz just opened.

It is a small place with take-out, delivery and catering only. The serve Indian, Pakistani & Bangladeshi food. It is excellent! I had a "lunch box" which had chicken and beef along with rice, fried vegetables and a somosa. It was delicious! I highly recommend this place!
