Provided by YP.comI purchased my Chevy Cruze from Shearer Chevrolet a few months ago, and it needed some work today. Stacy, Peter, and Dan went above and beyond, providing me with an excellent customer service experience. Thank you so much and I will gladly recommend others to Shearer. Thanks again!

Provided by YPmobileI bought a used vehicle 1 yr ago, been in shop over 8 times, took it in again for a reoccuring problem, they tore it apart before checking my waranty which had expired and now they are holding my car hostage for 183 dollars, claiming they have to pay their guys! Im pretty sure Shearers much better off financially than I am. Merry Christmas to you too!

Provided by YP.comFirst impressions are everything... and this place sure didn't leave a good one. I called the service department to see how much they would charge to "trigger" the TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitoring System sensors) on my late-model vehicle (not purchased from here).
I called the service department and the lady who answered seemed okay at first. She had no open appointments today, but said I could come in next Monday at 2 PM. I told her I'm starting a new job on Monday and asked her what the service department's hours were, and she immediately got very rude, saying "the hours of the service department are very different from the available appointment times". I explained to her that I simply wanted to know so I could get a rough idea of options. She said she'd make me an appointment for 2 PM, and I explained to her again that I don't think I can make that, and she said to call and cancel if I couldn't.
This is where it gets worse... I asked her if she knew roughly how much it'd cost, and she said, "well, it'll be about the same as reprogramming a key... so $50 for the service, plus we charge $90/hr for labor, and it will take about 30 minutes".
WHAT? $95? The tool to trigger the sensors costs $75 on Amazon, and it literally takes 5 minutes. You put the car into the training mode (easily done using the DIC buttons), and hold the tool next to the tire, press a button, and the horn chirps. Repeat the process for the other 3 wheels. A 4 year old could do it.
I explained to the lady and she became very agitated, saying that this was the cost of the service and that was that. I told her no thanks and that I'm not interested. I understand that dealerships need to make money, but her attitude was an immediate turn-off. My car had other service needs, I was hoping the dealership would just take care of the TPMS sensors as a courtesy, but forget it. $95 for a 5-minute job that requires no "labor" other than walking around the car is just asinine. I'll buy the tool myself so I'm not paying $95 every time I switch my tires (which I do myself).
If you want my advice, stay far away from this dealership. They won't have a positive attitude with you when you talk to them on the phone... and they clearly don't want your business.

Provided by YP.com400$ for having your window housing fixed - they initially said it would be 315 $ which I thought was a bit high considering the part was $115- then they charged 89$ for a diagnostic fee - what a crock of _____. Should that be included in the initial price. I will never return and recommend going somewhere else
We apologize that your experience was less than you had hoped during your service visit. We do at times charge a fee to determine the causal reaon for failure of a system on a vehicle. This allows our technicians the time to probe the vehicle to determine the part failure. We then provide a quote for the repair. It is then up to the customer to decide if they would like the vehicle repaired. As for the price of the part as related to the labor. The price of the part has no corelation to the amount of labor to install it. The two have no relationship.

Provided by YP.comI have used Shearer Chevrolet for years for both sales and service. The service dept. has always been professional and courteous. My wife recently had an emergency repair done and because the car was tied up overnite they gave her a free rental car. They are the best in my book.
