Just moved to the area & have a 7 yr old Maltese,
the owner Caprice, who has been in business 40 + years did the best job on our little 5 lb girl that has ever been done!! We were never so impressed and living in a condo everyone that saw our dog had praises. I read these negative comments on yelp and it made me want to go there more. We've been in business for 30 years & there is no way you stay doing something for 40 yrs without being good. I can't say enough about this owner as she treated us and our baby like old friends what a welcomed plus for us after moving to the area ! our dog looked so good they took the proper time with her instead of shaving all her hair off. They actually GROOMED our dog. Thanks to Caprice & staff (we love you) 100% recommend them can't please everyone? You pleased us.

They do awesome work. My baby is so clean and her nails are neatly done. I will definitely be going back to Reigning cats and dogs.

I never went there but since there were so many people that didn't like the owners attitude .. I won't even go there, it's too bad Over pricing (fixing) seems to be a local problem. Also low balling the price on the phone to get you in the door and charge you more when you go to pay.. I don't tip the owner either.

I took my dog to be groomed on 08/01/09. The owner Caprice only likes breed specific cuts, when I told her I lked my dog in a puppy cut she copped an attitude and asked me snidly, "why would you get that certain type of dog if you don't want it to have long hair?" I was very surprised because alot of people get their dogs hair short in the Florida summer heat, especially when you have young children and go to the park all the time (dogs hair attracts burrs). There was alot of little things, remarks but I thought I would try them anyway, there was a very nice tall young lady there when i finally dropped of my pooch who was very reassuring. There was another short biker type there as well who had a large attitude to match Caprices. I told them that I would call to see if my dog was done, they told me to call at 5 pm.(I had lost my phone) Well after my errands I thought that instead of trying to find a pay phone i would just pop in to see if my dog was ready at 4:30pm. When I got there I did not get a hello just a question" What time did we tell you he would be ready?" I said,"5pm". They stated with attitude,"It's 4:30 we told you 5" I explained again that I lost my phone etc...Then I got very upset because I opened the door then shut it but did not leave, they were talking about me I couldn't believe it! I confronted them and told them that I would like to pay them for the bath and need my dog and do not cut his hair! I told the owner Caprice that they should not treat people like this, I have a business myself and you just can't be rude to people (there was alot of little snid comments that I did not include in this statement as well). Caprice explained to me that in "her world dogs come before people" and that I should sit down and wait for my dog that he was not finished. She refused to give my dog to me!!!! They took my dog in the back cut his hair and charged me full price! Then instead of giving me back 18 dollars change she gave me $9.00 (the short biker lady). I was so upset that I did not check my change at that time. In between Caprice yelling at me I did tell her PEOPLE COME BEFORE ANIMALS!!!! I love my dog but my human children and family are more important to me.

I hope she changes her attitude towards humans. They are also way overpriced. God help her!

I took my chocolate retriever for a grooming and immediately, I could tell they were passionate about what they did. My dog looked & smelled wonderful after the visit. I will definitely be returning. I highly recommend them.

We took our dog in to get her nails clipped twice. The first time the woman gave us 10 dollars change instead of 12. The second time they hit the quick and then gave us this long, elaborate nonsensical lie about how they didn't hit the quick and basically it wasn't their fault she was bleeding on the tip of her nail. Needless to say, I'm not going there again.

My dogs and cats were rescued, so of course I am more than a little paranoid about the treatment that they will receive when out of my sight. When I moved to the area, I made a few "mistakes" when trusting them to others. When I found Reigning Cats & Dogs, I was immediately greeted by the staff's own menagerie of the "unwanted". My "Quivering Kelly", and "Shivering Max" now pull me to the door. In re to previous posts, yeah, the owner can be a bit blunt, but it is out of true concern for the welfare of my babies. I couldn't be more pleased, both with how my 'kids' look, smell, and mostly how they come home happy.

All I can say is, this is the best place to take your pet, well the best place that I take my Ar'trude. Ms. Caprice and her staff are the greatest and I can't say that enough! She always accommedates me at the drop of a dime when I call/need her. I have been there on several occasions early and watched her and her staff interact with the dogs. It is something to see how they love and care for your dog as if it was their own. My dog loves it there and looks and smells awesome when she leave there. I appreciate Ms. Caprice's expertise and direct straight forward approach in letting me know upfront what my dog requires to stay well groomed and healthy. I feel completly at ease when I drop my dog off there knowing that she will be well cared for until my return. I would highly recommend her to anyone I know and I have done so. My best friend also takes his dog Max there to be groomed. I have also referred several other people I know whom are now using the services. Thanks again to the Raining Cats and Dogs staff for all you do for Ar'trude and myself.....We both think you all are the BEST!

I agree with the second reviewer! Caprice, the owner, is very rude and I would never take my dog their again! I tried on several occasions. The grooming was very inconsistent and the dog was there for far too long. They were never ready at the time promised, but hours later. It seemed she always had to work in walk ins which left mine caged for hours on end! I have heard this from many of my friends that are pet owners, as well. I suggest you look further!

The only place to have your baby treated right...very high standards!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! caprice knows what she is doing and will only employ those that will live up to those beliefs...she may be opiniated, however if you think about it....do you wanna be lied to when it comes to the health, safety, and welfare of a family member? I have seen it happen in other groomers
