I have to say that Mary has been doing my hair for many years and I too followed her when she opened her own salon there on Ridgewood. I LOVE the way Mary does my hair...I'm one to change it up almost everytime I go in there and Mary always listens and gives me what I want and MORE! I am so impressed with this salon I have even made a website for them! www.freewebs.com/salononthesands, CHECK IT OUT! If you want GREAT hair and COLOR then have Mary "take care of you!" I recommend Salon on the Sands along with all the girls in there.... from Mary to Robbie to Tasha to all the other ladies in there they will treat you RIGHT!

I WAS SO DISAPOINTED TO READ THE PREVIOUS REVIEW . I HOPE MORE PEOPLE LEARN ABOUT THIS SITE AND POST THEIR TRUE EXPERIENCES.MARY IS THE SHOP OWNER. ROBBIE IS THE STYLIST WHO I HAVE DO MY HAIR AND HAVE FOR YEARS. I FOLLOWED HER TO THAT SHOP FROM BELLA CAPELLI WHERE THEY BOTH WORKED PRIOR TO SALON ON THE SAND. THE ONLY REASON A PERSON WOULD CONTINUE TO USE THE SAME HAIR STYLIST FOR SO MANY YEARS IS BECAUSE OF THE RESULTS. I CONSTANTLY HAVE PEOPLE SAYING TO ME" WHO DOES YOUR HAIR? IT'S BEAUTIFUL" SINCE MY FIRST CUT AND COLOR BY ROBBIE I HAVE NEVER TRUSTED MY HAIR TO ANYONE ELSE . SHE IS VERY TALANTED AND ALWAYS MAKES ME FEEL LIKE I AM HER FOCUS WHILE SHE IS WITH ME. I HAVE ALSO BEEN IN A GREAT POSITION TO OBSERVE MARY WHO IS ALSO VERY TALENTED AND JUST AS THOUGHTFUL TOWARDS ALL OF THE CUSTOMERS AS ROBBIE IS. MARY DOES MY DAUGHTERS HAIR AND ROBBIE ALSO DOES MY YOUNGEST DAUGHTER'S HAIR . MY GIRLS ARE 28 AND 18 YRS OLD AND VERY PARTICULAR. THEY DEFINATELY WOULD NOT CONTINUE TO BE LOYAL CUSTOMERS FOR SO MANY YEARS IF ROBBIE AND MARY WERN'T SO GREAT AT WHAT THEY DO... GO THERE ! ...YOU'LL BE SO HAPPY YOU DID !

I usually get my hair done by Mary who I think owns the place. She does wonderful highlights but the last time I got my hair cut it was all wrong. One side was shorter than the other and when I went back to get it fixed, it still came out uneven. I had to pay to go somewhere else to get it fixed. Also, the layers weren't right for my type of hair and I had to have those fixed as well. I was inbetween her doing another girls hair as well and it felt very rushed like she wasn't taking her time on me and listening. I think if she could take her time she would do so much better.
