I had an excellent experience when adopting my dog from Anderson animal shelter not only was the staff friendly helpful and professional but they also offered a training class free of charge to me and when completed you get $50 of your adoption fee return to you which I thought was wonderful I also received a phone call in regards to our new family addition on the status of her well-being and if we had any questions this is a wonderful facility and I would suggest it to anyone looking to add a new member to the household

The Anderson Animal Shelter has recently hired a new Executive Director who is fantastic. The Board of Directors recently approved a capital improvement project that dramatically improved the facility, parking and overall care of the animals which was just completed 11/15. The volunteers are absolutely wonderful and so giving. I have been affiliated with the shelter for over 14 years and have found most negative reviews coming from those who usually don't donate, but expect the world. Anderson is a 501 (C) 3 that receives NO MONEY from any Gov't agency and only exists through donations of kind hearted individuals. The place is a godsend for the community and needs the community's daily support.

The help is so bad its a miracle the animals survive.

this location may not be perfect but where would these animals be if not here? employees and volunteers are overwhelmed by much to do and moreso by people willing to critique than help. i went to go clean their floors because they were not to my liking. So, what are you going to do today?

This place needs to be shut down. It isn't saving animals, but placing them into a life of filth and loneliness. I wanted to tell the employees to quit if tey didn't like their job. Please do not support this place.
