We have been loyal customers at the Village Squire in West Dundee and have tried the South Elgin location 3 times. The first time we went the service was fine but the next 2 times were terrible. The service is awful and the food is not nearly as good as the West Dundee location. With the bad service reviews on here and word of mouth, I am surprised they are still open.

This place is very cold compared to the one in West Dundee. The burgers are just some gray/brown stuff with fancy toppings on a nice bun and great fries on the side. Don't be fooled into thinking its good meat just because they say "Black Angus" as that does not assure you of a good burger. If you want a good burger the village tavern in carol stream is pretty good otherwise you have to go to hackneys or rj grunts downtown.

Cool looking restaurant. Good food. I like their gyros and garlic dressing.Good soups. Large menu.
