My mother was in this facility for approximately six months before she passed. She was in another "newer, fancier" facility before coming here, but the last facility did not care for her well and she ended up dehydrated and in the hospital. THANK GOD she was then transferred to Countryside. I have NOTHING BUT PRAISE for the staff there, and I do not praise, nor do I trust easily. They took care of my mother like she was their own family. They showed her compassion, love and respect. They gave her dignity, purpose and hope. My mother was bedridden and suffered from dementia. They made her last few months on earth SO much happier and more peaceful. The nurses, CNAs and office personnel are the best in the business! This is a recent review (2015) and perhaps there were some problems in the past that had to be ironed out, but it is an excellent place for your loved one now and he or she will receive the best care anywhere!! Do not let any of these other negative reviews influence you. They are from many years ago and do NOT reflect the level of care your loved one will receive. They have rehabilitation and therapy, but also excellent care for patients suffering from dementia and there is also hospice all under one roof. Excellent staff and care!!!

Catty, immature, CNAs act like LPNs

There is NO teamwork at all between the aides. They are catty and childish to each other. The ones that have been there a while act like their **it don't stink and order the new CNAs around like they're LPNs. It's like highschool all over again, and honestly, not all the CNA's want to work in a situation like that. When it was brought to the Director of Nursing's attention, the CNA who brought it to the Director's attention was labelled as "Socially inept" and "having a problem with other CNAs". Even though the directer herself said that the old CNA's "eat the new alive". They have mice, ants, and wasp problems. They don't make sure that the patients are still able to transfer the way that they were said to be able to three months before. In that time, theraputically, someone can make a definite turn for the worse, and especially lose their walking/transferring abilities. Then because Therapy isn't doing what they're supposed to, it is the CNA's fault when a patient falls and the CNA gets fired.
