Our children started Mrs. Barton's program with zero piano experience. Soon after, they were not only familiar with the basics, but were able to read and recognize the notes in the clef and on the piano, have the correct hand posture, and play some songs. The book exercises and the recommended iPad applications that she provides make the daily piano practice, and home reinforcement easier and appealing for the kids. Mrs. Barton makes her classes fun and personalized to the individual needs of the child.

Al poco tiempo no solamente entendían lo básico, sino que también podían leer y reconocer las notas en la clave y en el piano, a tener postura de manos correcta y poder tocar algunas canciones. Los ejercicios del libro y las aplicaciones recomendadas del iPad de la clase hacen que la práctica diaria en el piano, y soporte en casa sean mas fáciles e interesantes para los niños. Gina Barton is an amazing music instructor - not just an excellent piano teacher. She teaches the emotions, moods, tempos and feeling under compositions, creating an understanding and appreciation for music. Those with whom she works are truly fortunate. She loves what she is doing and shares that love with her students, which builds in them a desire to do better. She also uses rewards, technological and other resources to enhance learning and involve parents in her efforts to build her young musicians.

Si buscas una escuela profesional, donde tus niños se diviertan mientras aprenden a tocar el piano...Barton Music School es el lugar indicado!!! Mrs Barton es muy amable y muy paciente con los niños, ademas de tener mucha experiencia y profesionalismo! Mi hija tiene 10 años y cuando empezò a asistir a las clases no tenía la menor idea de como tocar piano y algunos meses mas tarde ya sabe como leer notas musicales y tocar varias canciones!

Gina is amazing. She has been teaching our son for about a year now and we love the progress he is making. Gina uses a mix of traditional teaching methods with lots of technology. It works perfectly with young children because they can be so easily distracted. Not only that, but she teaches non-stop! She always seems to have students coming in and out of her studio. I have never seen her lose patience - I don't know how she does it! She teaches each student at their level and makes sure they have mastered a technique before moving on. Even I have learned a few things while listening in on her lessons!

We love Barton Music School. Gina is amazing with kids and makes learning piano enjoyable. She is very organized, kind and patient and her studio provides a fun learning environment. Thank you, Mrs. Barton, for being a wonderful teacher.

We are very pleased that we put our 7 yr old son in Mrs. Barton's group piano lessons. She has given him a strong foundation to grow on. Her wonderful and distinct attention to each student, along with the latest interactive technology, made my sons piano lessons fun and has him looking forward to going to his lessons each week.

Mrs. Barton has a creative way of teaching music theory and this has been very positive with my sons beginning level of understanding music. He has learned not only to play the piano but also how to read and count music. She has also raised his confidence to play the piano in front of people which was a challenge with his shyness. We can actually see him connecting with the music as he practices at home and when he plays at his recitals. Our son has rhythm and Mrs. Barton has definitely brought out his hidden talents! Using the word "piano teacher" to describe Gina doesn't do her justice. Her music school and methods are absolutely cutting edge. She's not just someone who's good at the piano, looking to earn some extra income on the side. Music is truly her life. She devotes everything into this piano studio and is constantly looking for ways to improve it. She has taken traditional piano lessons to a whole new level. She uses white boards to draw notes with the students, each piano has an ipad on it with apps that help with sight reading, and video cameras all over her studio to help students learn proper technique. This studio goes one step beyond others!

I have seen her studio many times in person, but have been taking remote (Facetime) lessons from her for 6+ months now. I was worried at first about how much I would be able to learn over facetime, but I think it's just as productive as a face to face lesson. As an adult who has taken piano lessons for most my life, no one else ever taught me the true "art" of piano playing. Before learning from her, I had been playing piano like a barbarian my whole life without even knowing it. She's opened my ear to a whole knew level of listening to how the piano is played. Like her website says, her goal is to create functional pianists- which is my goal too! She does a great job doing this by emphasizing sight reading, scales, and chords. Sometimes these don't seem as fun as learning a cool song, but that's really what creates a functional pianist! My skills have increased so much in the short time I've been taking from her.

My 4 daughters took piano lessons from Mrs. Barton. Gina was a wonderful teacher! She truly cares about each student and is very knowledgeable and skilled when it comes to teaching piano lessons. I think she has just the right balance of motivating the students to do their best and having high expectations, while also being positive and kind. She was exactly what we were looking for!

My children love working Gina. She is a wonderful teacher, who makes learning fun. My girls are enthusiastic about studying the piano. They are excited to attend their lessons and practice. They are learning to distinguish music genres and developing a strong appreciation for various styles, which is an incredible gift. We sincerely appreciate Barton Music School!

We love Gina! She is a fantastic teacher! My daughter has been taking lessons with Gina for almost three years. I am impressed at how Gina makes hard music theory easy to understand for her students, even the little ones. Knowing the whys of music has helped my daughter learn concepts faster and play better. We had such a positive and refreshing experience with Gina. I loved her approach to teaching and felt like it was unique and gave my kids a brighter outlook on piano and music! I rarely heard complaining about practicing like I had in the past. She has such a kind and patient nature and makes the students feel good about themselves and their ability to learn. Wonderful Teacher and Studio! Gina taught my three daughters and she was able to cater to each of them and their learning styles. They loved her and we were sad to move out of state and lose her as their teacher. Gina is wonderful and her studio is amazing!

Gina Barton is a fabulous teacher and musician. I had the privilege of taking piano lessons with her for many years and then later I hired her to accompany me as a vocal soloist.



As a teacher she is great with all ages. She is a delight to watch with young children and she captivates their attention by using her own innovative methods to teach them piano techniques, theory, sight-reading, rhythm, and music artistry in a way that will stick with them for years to come.



She is a fabulous soloist and accompanist. I have enjoyed each and every time we have worked as an ensemble. She is extremely sensitive to the musicality and direction of the soloist. This is vital when working with a pianist. It's either the life or death of your performance. Her piano skills compliment my work as a singer and help to inspire all those who work with her whether they are a vocalist or instrumentalist.



As a person, Gina is a kind, warm, and generous lady. She has a deep passion for learning, teaching, and people in general. She has been someone who has influenced me as an artist and she has had a great impact on my life. She is someone I will always remember and I hope I will get the chance to work with her again in the future.

I loved being a student at this studio! Besides Mrs. Barton being a one-in-a-million teacher (literally), her studio has so many cool things to offer that set her apart from every other teacher. I just loved my experiences with her.
