The Rhino Dance Club is a nice place to go and unwind listen to the music, play pool, play games, watch the game, sing karaoke, dance and have a few drinks. It is a friendly fun place for an entertaining night out on the town without dressing to the 9s. There are couches or high pub chairs and also the regular seats at the bar. It has the charm of Cheers and we have encountered some friendly service especially from the owner. He is very sweet and really seems to care about keeping the club a pleasant safe environment at all times. We feel safe in the Rhino with the no nonsense attitude and of course the bouncers and back up they have in place. The owner is so good-looking that some of the guys get a little jealous but he is just a nice guy, his looks dont seem to go to his head. We have been treated with respect every time we visit the Rhino. There are so many things going on they have great bands on certain nights, drink specials and good dance music. Will continue to visit it is the best place to be on Thursday, Friday or Saturday night, that is if you are a fun person that loves life.

Though the Rhino Pub in South Lyon has a rough exterior the warm friendly atmosphere inside is worth it. (keep in mind if you act like an idiot you will be treated like one in return for example if your not tipping or being pushy the staff most likely will not be at your beckon call. ) The reviews I have read are all over a year old and does not reflect the changes and new personalities working inside. Rhino has made some changes including a new Corn Hole game and is the only place in town with a pool table. I have been a patron for quit a few years and have seen the ups and downs. One review complains about cigarette burns in the carpet....Really you have to blame that on the smokers not the bar. If you can look past the floor you will notice the comfy "Sofa King Suites" that provide a luxury seat with a coffee table for placing your drink or dancing.

Rhino has great specials and has had some great live music over the years including Blackberry Brandy and Tiny Lighting I would suggest calling for upcoming events. Rhino also host local groups performing such as live hip hop shows. I would say the average age ranges on different nights due to different specials and music. They now play Country on Friday Nights and it brings in the most diverse crowd. So if your looking for a good time and haven't found it at the Rhino in the past I would suggest giving it another try.
