Provided by YP.commy husband and I took our mothers out to the island for thier birthdays & visited Jakes on a Sat. evening. There were a total of 9 of us and they could not accomodate seating. They sat us back to back on seperate tables and did NOT allow us to join the tables together but still charged us the 18% gratuity for parties over 6. When questioned about this their response was that we walked in together and they had to get the food out at the same time (I hope the cooks got some of that gratuity) Also a couple of us walked out to the courtyard to view the fireworks and there were about 3 empty tables that could sit 6-8 people. Its sad to see that they do not support family night!
As the manager of Jake's, I am sorry to hear that you did not enjoy your experience with us. I believe you were here on a Friday, since that is the evening that the island hosts a fireworks show. Although our Fridays are very busy, that is certainly no excuse for unsatisfactory service. Please accept our sincere apology and I hope you will return and allow us the chance to give you the pleasant dining experience you deserve.
