The decor inside is kind of pedestrian for a BBQ joint, but this place does a great job at catering. We recently went to a party at a friend's house and they catered Gus's pulled-pork, mac-n-cheese, chicken fingers (for the kids), grits and cornbread, all of it really delicious!

One of favorite BBQ places. They didn't used to be very good, but I think new owners took over a few years ago ( same owners as Top's), the food became awesome. I love the Southern Fried chicken and pulled pork nachos! Prices are reasonable for BBQ and portions huge! Also have a full bar and huge drink selection.

Great comfort food for lunch and brunch. Hard to find great BBQ on the west coast, so was excited to experience this- did not disappoint.

Booked through YP

I made the reservation through YP.com and then arrived for a nice dinner. The iceberg wedge was delish. We split a mac and cheese - with bacon. OMG I don't want to know how many calories is in that! Then onto the BBQ pork ribs - yummy. I had the sangria which was tasty tasty.

Service was nice as well. Nice neighborhood place. Cool pics of South Pasadena on the walls.

a decent rack...

If you are down for a delicious rack of ribs, a fat juicy burger, or some fried chicken the size of your head, go check out Gus's. This place is the best BBQ in the area, by far. It's just a matter of days before Barn Burner up the street goes down the toilet, and that is not a bad thing.
